Toast & Fig Jam

Editorial Standards

Toast & Fig Jam writes about nervous system awareness, capacity, and bio-harmony with care. We use research to inform the work, name uncertainty when evidence is still emerging, and keep our language grounded in reflection rather than prediction or prescription.

Our promise to readers

  • We write for clarity.
  • We avoid inflated claims.
  • We separate reflection from advice.
  • We update important pages when needed.
  • We treat vulnerable readers with care.

How we use research

When a page touches health-adjacent science, we prefer primary research and reputable institutional sources. We link sources clearly and avoid using one study as proof for a broad claim.

Research can give context. It does not turn Toast & Fig Jam into medical care, diagnosis, treatment, emergency support, or crisis care.

How we handle emerging ideas

Some topics around bio-harmony, neurowellness, and nervous system awareness are early or evolving. When the evidence is early, mixed, indirect, or based on adjacent fields, we say so.

Emerging language can be useful when it is held carefully. We do not present trend language as settled medical fact.

How we write about the nervous system

TFJ uses state language as a reflection tool. A state reading is a possible lens shaped by the user's answers. The user decides what feels accurate.

  • We avoid labels that shame, diagnose, or define the person.
  • We keep user agency central.
  • We avoid implying TFJ knows more than the user has shared.
  • We write toward noticing, capacity, and patterns over time.

Medical and crisis boundaries

Toast & Fig Jam is reflective wellness support. It is educational and self-reflection oriented. It does not provide medical care, therapy, diagnosis, treatment, emergency support, or crisis care. State readings are reflective labels only and are not a substitute for professional evaluation, crisis support, or emergency care.

If you might hurt yourself or someone else, or you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number now. In the U.S. or Canada, you can call or text 988. Outside the U.S. and Canada, use your local crisis line or emergency service.

Privacy and sensitive wellness data

Toast & Fig Jam treats check-in answers, state readings, reflections, and pattern history as sensitive wellness data.

We do not publish identifiable user check-ins, reflections, state history, or private wellness data without explicit permission.

Read the Privacy Policy for how TFJ collects, uses, protects, and deletes personal information.

AI assistance

TFJ may use AI tools for research organization, outline support, editing checks, and repurposing. Human review controls final publication decisions, safety boundaries, citations, and corrections.

Toast & Fig Jam does not currently publish paid placements or affiliate recommendations. If that changes, sponsored links, affiliate links, or other conflicts will be disclosed where they appear.

Corrections and updates
